Samurai Sword (Volume 3) featuring Masayuki Shimabukuro and Leonard J. Pellman © 1995 Just $19.95 (plus shipping) or $17.95 for members. Ships Priority Mail unless otherwise requested. Volume 3 begins instruction of the advanced techniques of Eishin-Ryu with the eight Okuden Suwari-Waza. Samurai Sword (Volume 4) featuring Masayuki Shimabukuro and Leonard J. Pellman © 1995 Just $19.95 (plus shipping) or $17.95 for members. Ships Priority Mail unless otherwise requested. Volume 4 continues the instruction of advanced techniques of Eishin-Ryu with the ten Okuden Tachi-Waza and the three Okuden Itomagoi Waza. Tachi-Waza are techniques which start from a standing or walking position, while the Itomagoi Waza are techniques performed while in formal seiza (seated on the knees) posture. The Itomagoi Waza are used in such situations as executing a traitor or when attacked while presenting an official message to an enemy. Techniques include situations involving up to five opponents attacking together.

Samurai Sword (Volume 5) featuring Masayuki Shimabukuro and Leonard J. Pellman © 1995 Just $19.95 (plus shipping) or $17.95 for members. Ships Priority Mail unless otherwise requested. Volume 5 presents detailed instruction in the performance of the ten Tachi-uchi no Kurai of Eishin-Ryu. These are partner exercises (often called katachi) for practicing the attack-and-defense techniques embodied in the waza in Volumes 1 through 4. The katachi are performed with bokken (wooden swords) to develop the technique, timing and footwork needed to defend against full-speed, full-power attacks, and are shown actual speed, as well as slow-motion, from different camera angles, so all details can be observed and practiced.

Samurai Sword (Volume 6) featuring Masayuki Shimabukuro and Leonard J. Pellman © 1995 Just $19.95 (plus shipping) or $17.95 for members. Ships Priority Mail unless otherwise requested. Volume 6 contains ten Seitei Iai Katachi (standardized techniques). These standardized techniques have been adopted by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) of the United States, the Kendo Federation, and other organizations as the basic techniques to be performed when competing in iaido tournaments. Since Shimabukuro Shihan established the tournament rules for the AAU, the method of performance in this video has been adopted as the standard of performance in AAU events.
